I taught again, this time at Paula's studio. it was the small Thursday morning group of 5 ladies, what a pleasure to teach them, and to share my own yoga practice with such strong women. They were all different in ability and range, body type and so on.
Thanks to Stefanie i had a wonderful 1:05min play list (approx.) there was even a "this is just a nice song, who is this" to which i had absolutely no clue.
we took a 13min savasana and did pranayama to KD Lang's Hallelujah all very beautiful music that makes you want to cry, which i almost did after savasana when we all sat up for Namaste, it was soooo amazing and such an honor to practice with them.

somehow i managed to plow through the poses with them even with my shoulder in its current state of hit-by-truck like pain. we did a lot of shoulder work in Jeff's class on Tuesday, it is possible that i tore something then but i can not recall when it started to bother me. Hopefully acupuncture over the weekend makes it better.

I had a lovely nap on my living room floor this afternoon after practice. though yoga is an energizing practice it requires that you are in tune with your body and can hear the request for rest. My practice started at 6am and went basically until 11am, by noon you forget why you are feeling lethargic and in need of unwinding. In the end you must trust the communications of the body, if you feel like rest, then take rest, then there will be mounds of energy later.
Give yourself the sweetness of Yin in your day.
