Astrology isn't something you can learn overnight, but you can get a just of impact pretty quickly, plus never have i seen a better time astrologically then now to express to others how damn deep it goes.
If you were to have your astrology chart read it you would have a sheet of paper to take home with you that looked similar to this one.
the main concept of the birth chart is a map of the planets at the time of your birth in relevance to the geographical location.
the chart is divided into 12 "houses", each house has the same meaning for everyone that has a chart done, ie. the 1st house is the house of life purpose, the 10th is career, and so on.
The variables that differ from person to person is where the planets are in each chart.
The planets represent their own set of principals and variables, Jupiter for example is the planet that represents past life Karma, Uranus is the birther of creativity and so on.
My definitions are not that well researched but they are merely semantics for what is really at hand here.
next thing to know is retrograde.
The term is used often by astrologers and keener's that talk to much about moon phases and their "Saturn Return". It basically implies a sling shot effect that will take place in some area of your life; one of the 12 houses.
so if Uranus is in retrograde and is in your 10th house of Career, you may feel a lack of creativity at work, or stumped or as though your creative process has been taken away or limited for that time, the out come of which is usually that when the planet returns from being in retrograde it causes a rapid shift in that area. Again using the work place and Uranus as an example, you might find you have been promoted to a more creatively challenging role, or perhaps a job offer has come to you that allows you the creative freedom you have been wanting.
This is just a very generic and insensitive example of what could happen.
Lesson done
here's the meat and potatoes of whats going on right now.
There are six planets in retrograde and they've been there for over a month, normally there are one or two planets, the odd time i've seen three, but now there are SIX.
this means that confusion or misdirection or frustrations may seem to be all over the map, do not despair, things will eventually be normal, or as normal as they can be by about Oct, pay attention to the energies around you as things begin to shake up on Aug 8th when Jupiter leaves retrograde.
Should be fun
