I didn't even know that he was sick, it must have happened fast and its not as though i'm home all that often but i would have expected to hear that he was sick.
He was the most predominate uncle in my life, i have upwards of 20 uncles but Ron and Mandy were always around; they were there when we lived in BC, in Ont, I would see them on the East coast, then again in BC. He really was a big part of my growing up life.
My fondest memory of Ron is when they lived in Ont (I dont remember what area as i was very young), April had just been born, maybe 6months old. We were all at Mandy and Ron's house there and as usual Ron would get me riled up (not that difficult really), he would call me Jimmy Willy, give me hi5's and always (our favorite) he would challenge me to charge his hand with my head, and then as i ran forward (head first) to but his hand against the cabinet he would always move it just in the nick of time, i would bash my head on the cupboard, fall down, laugh/cry, get up and do it all over again at Ron's encouraging "come on Jimmy Willy, don't let it get away this time!"
The last time I saw Ron was In calgary, he and Mandy were in town Dec of 05, we spent a lovely little evening together, the both of them and Al and myself.
thats really all i want to share
Mandy if you read this i was giving you the worlds biggest hug in my dream the other night.
love
