the moon sees past the skyline of downtown Calgary
Crushing us under its gaze
our insides propelled by the lifting burden of the fully lit rock
it gleams through our being
our every move
our every slice
we run till we fall from exhaustion
come back to your light of lights
there is more still that is unseen
and i want to unblind these eyes
so that i might move from the herd
